Copilot

Microsoft 365 Copilot is an intelligent assistant helping attorneys and legal-operations teams move from repetitive tasks to high-value analysis and strategy. Recent capabilities include tracking changes with word-level precision making edits transparent and auditable, detecting risks/deviations/compliance issues, reviewing and comparing contract clauses to standard terms, and analyzing large volumes of legal documents to identify arguments and generate tailored briefs. DLA Piper experiments showed Copilot could save up to 36 hours per week in content generation and data analysis. Note: Copilot is productivity AI for legal work but doesn't understand law, research case citations, draft legal motions with authority, or analyze contracts for legal risk.
