This policy explains what personal data GTM Folio(“we”, “us”) collects when you use gtmfolio.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

GTM Folio is a curated directory of go-to-market software, experts, and agencies. We are the controller of the personal data described below. You can reach us at hello@gtmfolio.com.

What we collect

Account data

If you create an account, we store your name and email address. You may optionally add a username, headline, bio, avatar image, and links to your website or social profiles. Any profile details you choose to add may be displayed publicly on your profile page.

Authentication

We sign you in with a one-time link sent to your email address (“magic link”). We do not ask for or store a password. We store session records so you stay signed in.

Content you submit

When you submit a tool or agency, claim a listing, report content, save a bookmark, or add items to your stack, we store that submission along with the account that made it. Submitted listings are intended for public display.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address to send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Analytics

We use analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns (for example, which pages are popular). This includes Google Analytics, which sets cookies and may process and store data on Google's infrastructure, including outside your country. We also use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that do not set cookies or track you across sites. We do not sell analytics data or use it for advertising targeting.

Cookies

We use cookies in two categories:

• Strictly necessary — to keep you signed in and your session secure. These are always active; clearing them signs you out.
• Analytics — set by Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. You can block or clear these in your browser without affecting core functionality.

We do not use advertising or cross-site ad-targeting cookies.

Why we use your data

• To provide the service — creating your account, signing you in, and publishing listings you submit.
• To communicate with you — sign-in links, and updates about listings you submitted or claimed.
• With your consent — sending the newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Our legitimate interests — keeping the directory accurate, preventing spam and abuse, and understanding aggregate usage.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Hosting and database — to run the site and store its data.
• Email delivery — to send sign-in links, notifications, and the newsletter.
• Object storage and CDN — to store and serve images such as logos and screenshots.
• Analytics providers — including Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used.
• Payment processing — where paid placements are offered, a payment provider handles the transaction. We never receive or store your full card details.

These providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers for international transfers.

How long we keep it

We keep account data for as long as your account exists. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Published listings may remain in the directory after an account is deleted, because they describe a product rather than a person. If you want a listing removed, contact us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. You can edit most profile details yourself from your dashboard. For anything else, email us at hello@gtmfolio.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

GTM Folio is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and passwordless authentication. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated on the site.
