Circa began in 2016 in the Summer batch at Y Combinator under its original name EventGeek. In 2020, the company was reimagined as Circa and relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico. The platform was originally designed to help marketers coordinate logistics for dozens or hundreds of in-person events. Circa offers event planning tools including request forms, calendars, budgeting, templates, checklists, and briefs for managing multiple events. It combines event request management with virtual event measurement capabilities, enabling enterprise marketing and sales teams to unify engagement data across all event types. The platform helps teams adapt existing event programs and measure effectiveness in the new hybrid event landscape.
