Azaleos Corporation was founded in May 2004 by Roger Gerdes and Keith McCall and specialized in the IT managed services sector, focusing on Microsoft's enterprise collaboration suite. The company operated as a managed services provider, offering remote management, monitoring, and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync environments for clients. Services were available through various deployment models including on-premise, private cloud, or hybrid options. Azaleos raised $21M in funding from Second Avenue Partners and Ignition Partners before being acquired by Avanade in 2012. It was not primarily a CRM software company in the traditional sense.
